Amazing location and view from the window. Comfortable and warm room. Tasty and rich selection of breakfast meals. The boat station and the old church are very close. According to the rules of the hotel, you must leave your passport as collateral. The restaurant menu is rather expensive, but in general acceptable.
The location was extra and perfect. the room was clean and comfort. The breakfast was good. There was no wi-fi, if there was a problem with the wi fi router that day i don't know exactly why.
Amazing location, great and very nice staff, delicious breakfast served on the tarrace with canyon view. I'd recommend to anyone visiting Macedonia. Great value for money paid! If someone was late for breakfast, there was not much left, so better come at 9 am.
Had a great time at the canyon! The hotel itself was pretty standard, no complaints. The hotel offered us a complimentary bottle of wine with dinner. Dinner is a bit pricey for Macedonia but a typical price in Canada and they had a delicious dessert. The complimentary breakfast was good! The parking is a bit of a walk to the hotel.
The location is amazing. Canyon Matka is one of the best places to visit in Macedonia. The room was nice with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The food and the view from the restaurant - excellent. The room despite being the most expensive one didn't have coffee/tea making facilities. Everything else was ok.
Inside the room there is a fairly bright 'exit' sign above the door. Ideal to show the exit when its dark...but also ideal to keep you awake :-). Breakfast was only served starting from 9.00 while we had to leave already @ 8.30..so we missed the breakfast. Its a pity to see that much plastic garbage on the beautiful trails along the canyon... Exceptional location. Nice food in the restaurant.
Everything! Amazing nature, helpful staff, very tasty meal, clean room.
The location of Matka Hotel is unbelievable! The staff was so nice and made us feel very welcome. The included breakfast was amazing and we were even treated to a free bottle of wine. Wish we could have stayed longer!
I accidentaly left some stuff in my room but even when I had left for my home country the staff sent me my stuff back no extra pay, nothing. Very nice people, good food, will take care of you!
Very nice place, good personal,breakfest-super! Thank you very much!
This hotel is nestled away Inbetween canyons and lakes. It is an absolutely beautiful location - accessible only by a rocky footpath which makes you feel you are going the wrong way, but in fact when you reach the hotel you are blown away! Brilliant outdoor restaurant and bar. 12kms from town so be prepared and take everything you need so that you can enjoy ultimate relaxation!
Perfect location (unbeatable) - just in the middle of the Canyon. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Good for one night. On photos looked better. Bathroom doors didn't close. The restaurant is quite expensive (compering Macedonian prizes).
Air Conditioning in rooms would be beneficial particularly in summer time and also windows to have mosquito nets. Staff service, location, food.
The view is amazing. A very relaxing place. Wi-fi is good. They offered us a bottle of wine with the room to drink in the restaurant. Nothing to do with the hotel but: There is a kayak rental place right before the hotel, it is nice to experience the canyon and visit the cave. The food in the restaurant is a bit expensive, even comparing to the prices in Spain...
Very nice location in the canyon. The food was very good. The office did not open before 8am.
Location was excellent, looking out over the lake and canyon. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were quite basic; at weekends the location gets very crowded with day trippers from Skopje and parking is a problem.
Location is amazing, we had a view of the canyon. breakfast had a very good choise of food. the area around offer so much to do, like hiking, climbing, kayaking, boat tours, restaurants, churches...
Beautiful view, bird chirps, silence and it's wonderful restaurant. Their gift: four bottle of vines. They are very gentle.
There was no bottle of wine as it was said when u reserve a room and at the early morning they started to make noises and working with tools and it was bothering us. I liked the view from the room and the breakfast.
